The studio opens on to the rolling countryside around the hamlet of Winding Wood where the classes are held and, when weather permits, outside in the garden and surrounding countryside. You will be taught how to paint in watercolour and will take home at least two of your paintings at the end of each day. All materials are provided.

The painting classes start at ten o’clock each day. On arrival you will be welcomed and introduced to fellow students with refreshments of coffee and homemade biscuits.

Painting tuition continues until lunchtime when everyone sits down at one large table in the farmhouse kitchen (or outside in the summer) to enjoy homemade cooking with wine and the company and conversation of the other painters.

After lunch painting tuition continues and refreshments of tea and cakes are served. The days usually closes at about 4.00 pm.

Consideration is taken of everyone’s dietary needs so please do mention in advance if you have any special requirements.

The cost of a weekend is £110.00 or £60.00 for one day to include lunch and all painting materials.
